I'm confsued. On the back of the box of this MB it says :
Memory: 2 x DIMM, Dual channel, Max. 8GB, DDR2 1066(o.c)/800/667 non ecc, un-buffered memory.
Now wherever I look online every asus manual says "Max 4gb ram".
I am really confused, can I add 8gb ram (2x4gb) or not? Atm I have 2x2gb (4gb KINGSTON) and I've found 2x4gb KINGSTON, so I am curious if it'd work. I don't know what to trust. I could show a picture of the box. It wouldn't surprise me if all those manual stats are copy pasted from the original P5PKPL AM, so the SE by Design matters does not have the actual ram stats, could be?
also another question :if a ram type is not on the vendors list, would it normally work assuming it's the required DDR and size?
