Motherboard Spec: MSI Z97 GAMING 5

I have made posts asking similar questions, but i need a final, crystal clear simple clarification on what to do to install a motherboard; hardware, bios, OS, drivers and all, in the form of an order process, i.e step 1, (text) step 2, (text) e.t.c. It must include clarification on whether or not installing new drivers from the website 100% replaces the drivers included on a disc to prevent issues or if the computer applications are smart enough to choose which drivers to use for that application, or whether or not I should even use the included disc at all, but I need to install the disc form of the LAN driver if I want to install website drivers anyway. So, I need your help on the full step by step process of installing the motherboard. Thank you

Solution
You don't even need the LAN driver on the disk.

Go get it now, and save that on a USB stick.
Build the PC
Install the OS
Install the LAN driver
Now, you can go online and get all the other ones.

Doesn't hurt to have it, for possible troubleshooting issues.

Before installing the OS, can you tweak settings on the bios? Or can you only do that after installing the OS?

Normally, I do an install in the following order:

1. Operating System
2. Motherboard Chipset
3. LAN
4. Graphics
5. Sound
6. USB (if needed)
7. Utilities or special features
8. Programs and software
