Dell Laptop, which came with Windows 8.1 installed won', even completely download older games....

I have noticed that older PC Games like Battle Realms, and a few others games that I have the disks for, will not even complete the installation. It claims to have completed installing the games, but it does not create a desktop icon for the game at all. There does not appear to be an option to change the compatibility mode for these games, and this is cheesing me off something fierce here. :kaola:

Can someone suggest a means to install older PC games on this annoyingly restrictive version of Windows PLEASE??

What are you installing games from? Steam or Origin. As far as I know all of the Steam and Origin games should be able to run it.

The OS is not really restrictive in that sense. have you tried searching for the names of the games through the search option in the windows menu? or simply look for the folder where you installed the game?
