I have so many questions, I want to get either a rx 480 or a gtx 1060, here are some of my specs
CPU:FX 8350 Vishera Unlocked to 4.1
MOBO: GIGABYTE 970A-D3P
PSU: Evga 500w 80 plus
Cooler master.. but I forgot the name, so Im not using stock fans
GPU: Asus Direct Cu II R9 270x

First of all, is the gtx 1060 compatible with my mobo? and if it is is my psu capable of handling either the rx 480 or gtx 1060?

Second thing, I only have a 6 pin connector, is it ok if I only get an adapter from 6 pin to 8 pin, because I would like to get the g1 gtx 1060, that I think it uses 8 pìn connector.
Other thing I read something about gtx 1060 to require a 5+1 power something, that to be honest I have no idea what it is

I play on a 720p monitor, but I I plan to upgrade 1080p. I know about the bottleneck, but to be honest, Every gamer will get at some point a bottleneck, so its ok
Thanks you very much

Solution
Gtx 1060 . The rx 480 is as good as the 970 and 980ti is as good as a 1070 so the 1060 should be worse than the 980ti and better than a 980 so go for the 1060 .also the gtx 1060 support better the dx12 than the rx480.but I would wait for some benchmarks for the 1060.
I would wait AT LEAST 2 weeks before even considering making a purchase.
1.) Allow time to make sure the GTX1060 does not have any bugs or defects (i.e. the RX 480 power draw issue)
2.) It will allow more time for AIB custom cards to come out which are the cards you want. Don't ever by a reference card.

BTW...only ask one question per post. When you ask 2 questions it makes it impossible for 1 best answer.

Can you prove that statement? That does not sound right at all. AMD should have the advantage in DX12 as the DX12 architecture was based off of AMD's Mantle API which has also evolved into Vulkan. AMD cards have a big advantage with asynchronous compute over Nvidia. Nvidia's architecture is built more for tessellation. I would say Nvidia would be a better choice for DX11 but not DX12.
