Hi all, I have an old computer working fine until today, I use it just for rendering, as a render node and it was doing that, and somehow the connection whit the server just stop, so i check it up, and it wasn't giving any video sing, so i'v restart it... and it start BUT after 2 or 3 seconds it restart alone but after that doesn't give any video sing event any beep sound of booting... i'v tried anything that i know: i'v live it just whit the CPU, one slot of RAM per CPU (it's a dual Xeon), one Hard Drive, and the GPU... and the same happen; it start, after 2 or 3 seconds it restart alone after that it stay on but won't give any video or any Beep of booting, i reset the CMOS by taking off the battery, and put it after a few seconds, and nothing... the same thing happens.
I'm sure that is not the PSU (Power Suplie) because it's almost new... at this point i'm lots, i don't know what else to do :(

PLEASE HELP!!! :??:

This are the computer Specs:
Motherboard: Supermicro X8DAL-i
CPU: Dual Xeon 1366 / X5680 @ defaut speed of 3.33 GHz
RAM: DDR3 standar Corsair 1333mhz of 4GB per slot
GPU: Quadro 4000
PSU: EVGA Supernova NEX750G 80PlusGold.

Solution
It could be but at least the BIOS should display because the HW is not on full load when BIOS start that for sure. If you could take 800-1000W PSU for the test from somewhere that would be good. If the issue occurs again even with 1000W PSU it could be corrosion then you will need to clean up the parts.

You could try with other video card or check the monitor, it could be monitor fail. If is not video card or monitor then reset the CMOS again but this time remove the battery and set up the reset jumper (few seconds are not enough for the capacitors ).

tnx for answer: i know that is not the monitor, because i'v test it in the other computer and it's fine, and to test other GPU is a bit hard because the other computer is a Mini itx chassis (the silverstone Sugo SG13) and it's a real pain in the ass access to that GPU, so i will live that last.. and the wear thing here it's that does'n give any sing of booting the BIOS, because the beep mobo doesn't sound, i'm not sure if a damage GPU can stop to give that beep sound?... and i'm not sure if this Mobo have the CMOS Jumper, (i haven't found it) and if it doesn't have it, how long do i have to live it whit out the battery to reset the CMOS?

well before i´v bought this PSU i´v search in various PSU calculators website´s and all of theme give me a total bellow of 650W, in fact these two xeons are almost the same consuming ass a single AMD FX-9590 (without overclock)... sou i guest that PSU its fine... but please read my next reply... i think that i´v found the issue

well after searching a lot of things... i´v found something: i did not mention that in January of this year i´v update my CPU´s whit the X5680 TDP of 120W before that, i´v had the e5620 TDP of 80W and in these months all was working fine whit the update, until this happend... so i serch in the Supermicro webside and in the webpage for this MOBO in the specifications of the CPU they add that it has a limit in the TDP of 95W (something that i´m almost sure that was not in the past) so i search in the Manual and say nothing of a limit in the TDP for the CPU´s... for me it´s too wear that i´v did´t view it before, but anyway: i guess that the issue it´s for the higher TDP on the CPU´s (120W) that overpass the limit of the MOBO of (95W)... can this be the answer of my problem?, and if i´m right which part of the hardware it´s damage: the MOBO or the CPU´s?
