Hey everyone!
I have a very old laptop right now and I can't run any more games on it anymore. So I started to save money to buy a gaming pc. It's my first time building a gaming pc and I was wondering if you guys could tell me what you think of what i plan on using:
Processor: Intel Core i7-6850k

Processor Cooling Unit: Corsair Hydro Series H110

Hard Drive: WD Blue 4 To SATA 6Gb/s 64 Mb

SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 Go

Motherboard: ASUS MAX. VIII HERO

Graphics Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury black 32Go (4x 8Go) 2666MHz DDR4

Power Supply Unit: EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 80+ PLATINUM, 1200W

Internal DVD Drive: LG BH16NS55 Retail

Case: Enermax Thormax Giant ECA5030A-B

WIFI Card: ASUS PCE-AC56

Are all the components compatible? and can I make any upgrades?

thank you a lot.

Here you go:

Nice balanced build, compatible motherboard and CPU, and room for expansion. For most people anything over an i5-6600k is overkill. I upped it to the i7-6700k for good measure and to bridge a small gap between the i5 and the i7-6850k.
32GB RAM is more than needed for most gaming, but increased it anyways.
Kept the 1080 as that's the best there is at the moment.
And i scaled the PSU back to a more reasonable cost/output.

Just my suggestions, of course

Thank you for the answer. Could you tell me what to change and what should I be replacing it with?

The case is mostly a personal preference thing, so change as you like. If you're not going to overclock, you can save additional money on the CPU, motherboard and RAM. If you do other more CPU intensive things like editing or streaming, you might consider going with the i7 6700 or K version if overclocking. For storage, I substituted a PNY SSD as it performs great but costs less than the Samsung. The trade off is that it is slightly slower and has a shorter warranty.
