I cannot login to the web GUI to change WiFi password!
I have a Netgear router to my static IP and typing 192.168.1.2 does not work to access the web GUI for PLA4231. Instead of yping 192.168.1.1 to get into router I type 10.0.0.1. Maybe that strategy can be used to access PLA4231, but I do not know its internal IP. I have installed the Zyxel PLA Series Configuration Utility and can see the PLA4231 there.

Any hints please?

Solution
Simply go into the network control panel, select "change adapter settings," right click on the Ethernet adapter and choose the bottom item, "properties. Then highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 and click properties. In the general tab on the top half, click the bottom radio button of the two to use a specific (static) IP address and enter one that is in the 192.168.1.x range.

To change it back to your router later, just click the top radio button to auto obtain an address.

"Make sure the power LED is on.

Press the RESET button for 10 to 15 seconds (until the power LED begins to blink) and release it to set the PLA4231 back to its factory-default configuration."

"password will be reset to “1234” and the IP address will be reset to “192.168.1.2."

Then simply set it up again.

No, that did not work. I get same response from brower "Page cannot be accessed" when trying to access via IP.
The WiFi starts and I can see it is working and connect directly with ethernetcable plugged in to it, but I cannot get to that web GUI.

Yes, that is true for every adapter. I have only one WiFi adapter (the PLA4231) but several other powerline adapters. I can see them all in the Configuration Utility. They are all working. But I cannot log in to my Zyxel WiFi, because I dont know the password, and I cannot log in to the web GUI of the PLA4231 to change the password by using 192.168.1.2, even when connecting to the adapter directly with an Ethernet cable from my computer Ethernet port!

You did the reset with a computer directly attached to the adapters during that reset, correct?

And after the reset, the default 1234 PW didn't work I assume.

The computer that you are using to access the devices is using a static IP of 192.168.1.x (where x is not 2), right? I'm not sure that this is required with your particular adapters, but it is with some. Also, your browser on the configuration computer allows pop up windows and has Java installed?

If all else fails, insure that the adapters have the latest firmware, which they probably do, but that is necessary for the latest configuration software to work with them.

Is there a way I can ask or check the adapters internal IP when connected?
(Thinking I can access it that way...)

You can configure an isolated computer temporarily to a static address of 192.168.1.3 and try accessing the adapter at 192.168.1.2. The adapters should be set to an IP address on the network unless they are a distinct subnet, but they have a default address different from your 10.n.n.n network at present.
