Hello all,

I have a DELL laptop XPS L502X with all original components except for the battery that has been replaced 3 years ago (with another Dell battery). The OS is Windows 7.

After a pause of 10 days without using it, today I decided to use my PC but I suddenly noticed that the keyboard didn't work : it was like someone pressed always the keys. For this reason I couldn't enter the password to start the OS, I couldn't run Ubuntu Live because I can't choose the boot options. The touchpad also didn't work.

I thought it was the keyboard itself, so I disassembled the laptop, and removed the keyboard but nothing has changed. Even if I use an external keyboard (and even in the windows safe mode), I can't enter the password.

Moreover, when I try to charge the battery, the PC goes on standby or switch off. The pc has been 10 days switched off, on a table and in a dark room.

Any ideas? I'm desperate because it's the only laptop I have and I'm far away from home.

Hello and thanks for the answer. Unfortunately I've already tried and nothing has changed.
