Ok, so i have an old hard drive of 150GBs, so i wanted to use it as hard drive for my windows and 500GB hard drive for games... Now the drive of 150GBs was lying around for a year and i am not sure if its faulty. I plugged it in my pc and it seams like its working fine, i have a few games on it, but I remember that i was trying to install windows on it and it didnt work, tho it could be that my cd was bad. My question is how do i know that its completely fine and that I can use it as my windows hard drive?

Solution
I wouldn't use an old hard drive like that for something as crucial as the operating system.

You're not going to get ANY speed increase by keeping them on separate drives, so why risk it?

Use the 500GB drive for your everything.
