Recently, my computer stopped working, the motherboard (MSI K9VGM-V) will tick at boot but never finish booting and the graphics card will not work. I have already tried using a better power supply, no effect. I have tested the graphics card (Nvidia GT 730) on another computer, it works fine. Resetting the CMOS did not help either. This build used to work but now, the board does not accept my graphics card, the only thing keeping it usable. Can anyone help me on getting it working again? Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

If it is damaged, call the company that manufactures the motherboards. So in your case, MSI

Where you overclocking your motherboard? Did it overheat (make loud sounds with its fans)? If so, you might of damaged. Also check this PSU Tier List (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html) And see if your motherboard was in a low tier. If so, your Power Supply might of damaged your motherboard.

Although I was not overclocking my system, I was using a Tier 4 PSU, so that may have been the cause, but what I would still like to know is if I can fix the board, thanks for the response.

Ok, thanks for your help, hopefully MSI will still accept an old board like this.
