Hello, I built my PC last year (April?) and I got freezes since one month later ...
And sorry for my bad English :D

The Freezes occur while i play games & one time watching a movie

My System:
MSI X99S SLI PLUS
Zotac GTX 970 Core Edition
I7-5820k
Be quiet System Power 7
Noctua NH D15
WD Black 1TB
Samsung 850 PRO 256 GB SSD
Crucial Ballistic Sport 4x4GB 2400 DDR4
Fractal Design XL R2

Things I already done:
Testing every single RAM
changed PSU 2 times
connect/disconnect disc-reader
MB & CPU&GPU testing from seller (GPU & MB multiple times)
--
I already go to a PC-Shop and they doesn't found a single problem...
--

The only thing to delay the freeze ( a little bit) is to open my Case and take an external Fan on the side ...

Does someone have any ideas?

PS: since some days my GPU makes some weird sounds?
and the Freezes occur faster when the weather is warm

So and now you know why i said my English is bad :D

Edit: forgot my MB :D

Greetings!

Maybe your cooler is not set correctly on your cpu? Maybe also it is time to check your thermal paste between your Noctua NH D15 and your cpu for it is possible that it just needs replacing due to age and temps. If everything else is checking out as fine, I would try this and see if you get a change. Did you have the system built or did you build it yourself? I ask only to gauge your comfort in doing these things yourself:)

Hope this helps!

Hello, thank you for your fast answer!
I mounted my CPU cooler multiple times new on the CPU because i resend my MB :D
I'm not sure but the thermal paste should life longer than one month?^^
And i build it by myself(my first own but not the first i build^^) the other PC's works fine ... :D

Yes, thermal paste should definitely last more than a month! I usually change mine once a year before the weather gets warm. Hmmm...I re-read your original post again for it was late last night I was tired and missed the part about you being the builder...you are correct, this is a quandary.

The next thing that comes to mind is that maybe the VRMs on the motherboard are getting too hot and causing the problem, for if adding airflow by opening the case seems to help, then there is definitely a temp issue by the sounds of it. I don't see your motherboard listed in the specs above, so I am curious as to what you are using so I can dig to see if there are any known heat issues with it.

You have ruled out the cpu heatsink, so we can be pretty sure that is not it, but you might want to look into a reliable program that will tell you what temps your cpu and gpu are running at. I think that would be a good pace to start. Here is one that holds respect: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Let us know your temps and motherboard please, this will help us root out what is possibly going on.

Update: I install the newest BIOS Version (from MSI website) and still no freeze (just mouse laggs ~1min after login ? and sometimes GPU driver error?)
And slowed down my RAM from 2400 to 2133(pushed to normal speed 2400 again and same effect with mouse lagging)
