Upgrading to Intel i7 6700k. What existing components should I keep?

I'm going to upgrade my PC and build it around the Intel i7 6700k. I feel I need to do this because Lightroom is running quite slowly. I'd be very interested in learning what, if any, components I can use in the new build. Also interested to understand if getting DDR 4 would provide significant benefit over my existing DDR3 RAM. I'm ok spending $$$ if it results in noticeable improvements.

Here's my current system spec:
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz 37 °C
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
MSI Z68A-GD65 (MS-7681) (SOCKET 0) 38 °C
Graphics
DELL U2410 (1920x1200@59Hz)
DELL U2410 (1920x1200@59Hz)
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 v2 (EVGA) 39 °C
Storage
1863GB Hitachi HDS722020ALA330 (SATA) 39 °C
238GB TOSHIBA THNSNJ256GCST (SSD) 28 °C
3726GB Seagate ST4000DM000-1F2168 (SATA) 30 °C
119GB SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series (SSD) 30 °C
931GB Western Digital WD My Passport 0830 USB Device (USB (SATA)) 39 °C
3726GB Seagate Backup+ Desk SCSI Disk Device (USB (SATA)) 56 °C
4657GB Seagate Backup+ Desk SCSI Disk Device (USB (SATA)) 49 °C
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222AB
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

Thank you so much for any advice, pointers, tips, etc.

The is not big difference between. The ddr3 and ddr4 memory .actually the ddr3 is faster than the ddr4 memory .but you can't keep it because all z170 motherboards support ddr4. You can keep the ssd you have and the DVD driver if it has a sata 3 connector you can keep it . The same goes for the ssd and had . But don't keep the had because the hdd will slower your new PC. Also if the ssd is older than 3 years .dont keep it it will slower the new PC. And any new hdd will keep back the pc . In my PC I use only ssd . Once I used a new hdd with my ssd and it started getting slower and slower . And when I disconnected it became fast again. So it depends in order to keep something from the storage it needs to have sata 3 connector and be less...
Well, CPU and MB at least. There are some MBs for that processor with DDR3 but yours is too slow to get everything out of the processor.
You may need a new PSU too depending what you have now and how old it is.
With all that, it should be quite of improvement.

If you were looking at the i7 6700k, you should really consider the i7 5820k or i7 6800k instead. Normally DDR4 is comparable to DDR3, but in your case, you would benefit from DDR4 especially in a quad channel setup the X99 would give you.

Excuse my ignorance, but why should I consider them? Will they run faster? I believe Lightroom does not particularly benefit from more than 4 cores... but I could be wrong (I'm just ramping up). Isn't the 6700K 4 GHz faster than the two you're suggesting?
