Parts List: | Asrock H170 Pro4 Mobo | Geforce GTX 960 GPU | G.Skill TridentZ 8Gbx2 RAM | Intel Core i7 6700 CPU | TR2 RX 850W PSU (about 5 years old)

Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive.

I put the build together about a week ago with all brand new parts except the PSU. I clean installed windows 10 and things worked great until 2 days ago. The night before, I put my build to sleep, and the next day nothing would turn on, literally no response to Reset or Power On buttons being pressed.

List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.

First things first, I turned off the PSU, power cycled a few times, and then checked all my connections; everything was fine. Plugged the PSU back in and the GPU LED came on, so I know it's getting power. All the USB devices connected to the mobo USB ports also had their LED indicators on, so those get power, too. I'm stumped. I found this thread that describes a similar problem, but they can at least get the machine on and get into their Bios - https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/4140ze/discussion_a_heads_up_to_those_considering_doing/. Another thread with a different Asrock mobo has problems starting when the PSU gets disconnected, but my problem occurred overnight (to my knowledge there was no brown or blackout either) - https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/2jrt1b/psarequest_possible_reoccurring_problem_with_the/.

Provide any additional details you wish below.

Not sure what could have happened overnight to cause these symptoms, but it worries me that the POST LED never comes on, and makes me scared that I bricked the processor. Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated :) I'll keep posting updates as I work on it more.

Solution
G.Skill TridentZ 8Gbx2 slowest Tested Speed is 2800MHz. That is the wrong memory for H170 chipset motherboard. It is not intended to run at SPD Speed constantly.

Gotcha, so basically I got a bunch of RAM that's too fast the chipset of my mobo, so I need something that sits within the specs of the H170?
