I am looking to put some extra fans into my pc as i recently discovered two more fan slots in the front of my case(the case i have is a BitFenix comrade mid tower). I already have one that came with the case but want add two more to fill the available slots in my case. I have done some research and found out that the size fans I need are 120mm and i found a twin pack of corsair air series SP120 PWM, in the specification for these fans it says that they work with a 3 pin and 4 pin connector. Can some one confirm for me if they are a 3 or 4 pin as i'm not 100% sure. also can someone tell me how many fan connectors there are on the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P motherboard because i would like to put two fans into my pc but i have looked every where (on the website i bought it from, manufacturers website and the manual) and could not find how many connectors it has.

Could Someone please tell me if the fans that i have found work with 3 pin and 4 pin connectors. Also how many connectors my motherboard has.

Thanks

PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) fan is a 4 pin fan, but may be plugged into 3 pin fan header, thereby losing the better speed control of PWM.

Your motherboard has 3 case fan headers (not including the separate CPU fan header). 1 of the 3 is a 4-pin header, the other 2 are 3-pin.

I could not find the power limitation in the manual... http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5194#manual , but it is typically 1A per header.

You can use splitter cables to join more than one fan per header, just pay attention to total power required (keep below 1A), and of course speed of 2 fans on the same header cannot be controlled indepedenttly.
