Hello guys!!
When i put the graphic settings to lowest in Dota 2, i can play the game with no problem. However, when i put the graphic settings to highest, the screen goes black for a while (sometimes the system freeze and I cant press anything), then I always see my desktop (though my mouse pointer is still Dota2 in-game pointer) and the game is still running at my taskbar. But I cant click the game and enter into the game. After I killed the game with taskmanager, i can launch the game and the problem repeats unless i put the graphics settings to lowest. Thermaltake 450w PSU
i3 3220 cpu
8GB 2133ghz ddr3 RAM
Asus H61-ME motherboard
EVGA GTX 660ti
24'' fullHD monitor
FYI, I'm running the latest Nvidia driver. The problem also appears when I play other graphic demanding games too. And I dont have any problem when I use AMD HD 7770 card in the same PC and play Dota 2 even when i put the graphics settings to highest.
My 450w PSU has only one PCI-E cable that has two 6+2pin and I put that to my GTX660ti which needs 6pin+6pin. Is my Graphic card not getting enough power? If that is the case, what kind of PSU should i be looking for? PSU that has 2-4 PCI-E separated cables that each has 6pin respectively? Sorry for my English, thank you~!!
