'Sup guys! I'm currently using a gtx970 EVGA and my PSU has started to become a little problematic (CX430), with sudden shutdowns while gaming and a lot of noise, it's 4 years old by the way. I'm looking forward to upgrade my PSU to the Seasonic S12-II 520w but I'm not sure if this one would be able to hold my PC without too much stress to it.

My PC specs:

H61-DS2M
I3 3210 Ivy bridge
EVGA GTX 970 4GB
8GB REVENGEANCE
CX430.

Whatcha guys think?

The S12-II is a substantially better quality unit than the Corsair CX and should last much longer.

Once the system's real power requirements are met, the quality of the PSU becomes far more important than increased output ratings. You would probably be able to run your PC on a high quality 350W PSU if you can find one but those are uncommon and tend to be more expensive than similar quality units with much higher power ratings.

Yes it's enough, but you don't want a modular PSU?-maybe this(Antec High Current Gamer 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply)

I have the antec, works great- also it's a higher wattage and will last through future upgrades with your pc

I live in Brazil tho and there's literally one store selling that wanted PSU you mentioned, and I'd rather not deal with this really suspicious website, that's why I've been sticking with the Seasonics. Do you think the Seasonic would do well though?

Nice! Thank you guys for the quick replies.

On a different topic, I've been having this issue that when my PC would suddenly shutdown while playing Dark Souls 3, it'd quickly start up again but my monitor display keeps saying "check cable signal", after restarting the PC 3-5 times, the monitor starts up normally. I've already checked all cables and Ive been thinking it's a problem caused by my PSU?
