Problem with Time and Date after changing cmos battery

I just changed the cmos battery of the motherboard because it was always asking for cmos checksum everyday I boot my computer

After changing it. When I booted up windows, the time and date went from 7/18/16506 , When I changed the time on bios, It says 7/18/2099. Changed it again, still the same.

Go to your os, then change the date and time according to internet time. If the bios still says the same time, then maybe your new cmos battery isn't new anyhow xD

I can't change the time and date on the os because it says there 07/18/16506, I think because the year has 5 digits. When I change the time and date on bios , the date is 07/18/2099 everytime I reboot to bios.

Very cool bios glitch .. I think you should remove the battery once again and make sure all the bios configuration resets.

I removed the cmos battery after giving up on fixing it. Does bios automatically reset after removing the cmos battery for sometime?

Yes. removing the bios battery is an alternative way to reset the bios instead of setting a cmos_clr jumper
