UPS warm and endlessly charging

Few days ago I bought my first UPS - Eaton 5E 850iUSB (link) for my PC so I can turn it off normally in case of power outage. But the problem is that the UPS is still charging even when the battery level is at 100%. In Windows the battery says "100% available (plugged in, charging)" and the UPS itself is warm which means that there is really something going on instead of just directing the current from wall socket to the PC. This is also happening when the PC is turned off. In the morning after whole night with PC turned off the UPS is still warm (probably charging the full battery).

My question is - is it normal? Or is there a problem?
If the battery is charging 24/7 for unknown reasons, isn't it bad for the battery?
What about energy (power consumption)? Isn't the UPS just wasting electricity 24/7?

Thank you for your help.

Thank you, I'll try the support. And to be exact - my UPS isn't getting "very" warm, just a little warm. But that I count as an indication that there is really something going on inside and that the battery is probably really still charging and releasing the excessive power in heat.
