Will 3000 Ram work with i7 6700k

I just ordered 4x 4gb ram at 3000 and Im planning on getting the i7 6700k will I run into any problems? someone told me I may have to overclock

If the memory is DDR4, then yes. But, you need to enable XMP in your BIOS, if not, the system will only read 2133MHz.
