In some games like Far Cry 3/4 and GTA 5 my R9 280x is about 50 to 70% stressed. When I lower the graphics my GPU just goes to about 30% stressed and the framerate stays the same. I suppose that's a CPU bottleneck right? But with most other games the GPU maxes out and the CPU not. I can get a pretty good deal for a GTX 980 or GTX 780ti but i am afraid the bottleneck like in Far Cry and GTA would occur much more often making the upgrade not worth the cost. Upgrading to an i5 4460 cost's about the same price. I Don't have the money at the moment to upgrade both so which component do you guys recommend?
Upgrade my fx-8320 or r9 280x first?
