I recently bought a laptop. Its ASUS K501U (i5) and im totally happy with it :). but there is a slight issue.. On the label it says that I have 1tb of hard drive+ 16gb ssd drive.. The problem is that I cannot see any 16gb ssd drive..I have checked in disc management and its not there.. Only the 1tb is appearing.. How do I activate it? do I need to install a driver or something?

More than likely you have a SATA HDD in addition to a mSATA ssd. If it is anything like my ultrabook (with a 500GB HDD + 32GB SSD), the SSD is configured to act as a massive cache for the HDD.

I am not necessarily suggesting you do this, but I reinstalled Windows and deleted all of the different disk partitions in the installation process, and was able to access both the SSD and HDD separately after the reinstallation of windows.
