Hello.

My system:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 OC Edition 1GB GDDR5
2x2GB CSX DDR2 800Mhz Dual Channel
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
Storage: Samsung HD161HJ 160GB and Western Digital Caviar SE 160GB

My current psu is a HKC V-Power 450W. Recently, it started getting louder, but after a few minutes it goes silent, so that's why I want to change it. I've just got a brand new Chieftec GPS-400A8 400W, I put it in my computer, it worked pretty well, but after a few hours of gaming, my computer froze and I had to shut it down. I restarted it, but I only got a black screen and my PC kept restarting so, I guess, it can't handle this system. I'm thinking about refunding it and getting a Chieftec CTG-450-80P 450W instead, will that be enough?

Solution
Your system would work fine on 350w, it wasn't the wattage it was that Chieftec is junk.

Seasonic makes some low wattage oem style units that are low cost, if you need something cheap. Or send me a link to the store you buy from I'll pick some cheap ones out for you that will suffice.
