In the last month, I having being getting extreme lag spikes, rubber banding and extortionately high ping. I am quite puzzled why I am getting such problems as my connection seems to hold up pretty decently on online speed tests and is generally good for everything but gaming. I live in the UK, have a NETGEAR VMDG485 Router and these are my speeds.
In games such as Rust, Overwatch, Counterstrike and even Runescape, the lowest i ever see my ping is 65 and I get frequent rubber banding, 5 second ping spikes that rise to 500ms and constant teamspeak laggy robot voices.
I am fairly naive when it comes to this sort of topic, so please feel free to explain it to me like I am 5 years old.
