Hey folks. I have this Samsung 950 M.2 SSD and well it gets to hot. To remedy this I wan´t to extend the M.2 port so i could glue my M.2 SSD on the CPU heat-sink

My question is only if something like this: https://www.m-ware.de/adapter-und-konverter/adapter-ngff-m-2/m-ware-adapter-m-2-ngff-b-m-key-sata-ssd-verlaengerung-id14826/a-14826/

Will reduce any performance, or in worst scenario not work at all ??? Thx

Hey guys thanks for all those quick awnser. So I thought of installing a copaper hest sink on it, but my GPU is sitting right on top with the Noctua cooler.

I though the temperatures where normal until last week my SSD dyed probably due to heat, I wanted to extend so I could glue under my CPU fan.

If your case has a spot for a side fan, having one blow directly on it may well be enough to help.

Were you monitoring temperatures that you know this to be the problem?

 the old 950 is dead and I will receive a new one, I will make sure to update the firmware ( if it works). The important is somehow to extend my m.2 port, I will give a try and write a topic later
