My current PC is almost 6 years old. [core i3 540 3.06GHz, Transcend 4GB(2x2GB) RAM, Intel DH55TC Motherboard(stock cooler), Zotac NVIDIA 8400GS (1GB) Gfx.]

Building my #DREAMGAMINGRIG "Red Giant" . Here are my PC parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/qygD2R
[Yes, the Non-OC version core i5 because I don't overclock. I prefer the Z series motherboard over the H series for those additional ports].

What do you think? Suggestion are welcome.

**My budget is $1500**

GTX 1070 just released and not that sure about reliability and I think it would be over killing even though it is within the budget. So sticking to 970 as of now.

But acc to parts picker, 500w PSu is more than enough. Staying with 550w.

Oops!...7200RPM drive, actually mispicked it.:p

Sure, 1070 is taken into consideration.

Is there much of a difference between BluRay & the ordinary drives in terms of cost and size?

As I mentioned in the original comment, I'll not be overclocking so i prefer the non K version and the MSI Z series motherboard for those additional ports/slots.

Is there any compatibility issues?

Matching black/red cables for PSU & fans [cable management:love:]
Have to decide how many additional fans after the build.
