Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and new to gaming pc's in general, and pretty un-knowledgeable when it comes to computer builds. I just got everything for my new computer build and bought a Sapphire Radeon HD 7870. I have an EVGA 430w 80+ power supply and it only has one plug in for the power graphics card, a 6+2 pin. Do I need the 2 plug or can I use just the one? And if not, is there some adapter I can buy to fix this problem? I'd like to avoid buying another power supply if possible. Thanks.

Solution
I wouldn't recommend to use only one 6 pin power connector... so use the adapter to plugin the second 6 pin power connector. Don't worry you don't have to go out and buy another PSU.

Adapters fry motherboards. Adapters are used when something isn't compatible and that means that the part you are adding is too intensive for that power supply. I would get a reliable power supply.
