You're gonna want a higher quality supply in the 500-600W range. That model -could- handle it, but you're cutting it pretty close. I'd go for EVGA (600+), Antec, Seasonic, or XFX in the 500+ range.
Oh jk, you're gonna want a new power supply. I think there are adapters, but your supply has the connectors it has for reasons. Not the best idea to try to circumvent that. Sorry, I read your post and forgot the second half. =p
It appears that you do not have the correct amount of connectors available on that psu:-( So, yes, you will need to get a different psu in order to properly add the 1080 to your system.
It has all the necessary connections for your setup including the two vga/pcie connections needed for that 1080. If you are looking to add a second EVGA GTX 1080 FTW later for SLI, you will need a psu with even more 8 pin pcie connections. A decent option for that would be: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qhPzK8/evga-power-supply-220gs0850v1

Also good top tier choices! I am curious if he may need adapters for there seemed to be older style molex on those xfx psus...or have I seen that wrong or am I missing something? Just something I noticed
The EVGA and XFX TS gold should be fine they have the correct PCIE connections , can't verify on the XFX bronze , so I deleted it , different sites have conflicting info.
Use this calculator on how much watts for your current build and that you'll upgrade too, do you have any kind of budget if you were to buy another power supply. http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator
i decided to go for the gigabyte g1 instead. its 180w and a single 8pin
