Link to system build.

So there I was last week playing X-Plane during a thunderstorm. A relatively close lightning strike made the lights flicker briefly and my computer shut down. On reboot it got stuck in a loop exactly like the guy in this video who has a similar motherboard. It did boot up eventually but since then the bsod's have gotten more frequent until today when all it will do is loop. I thought maybe it was a temp or voltage thing but I monitored all of that while I gamed and nothing was out of range. The LED code is D2 for "PCH Initialization Error". Seems most people with this problem ended up RMA'ing their mobo.

Things I've tried but no avail:

-Reseat everthing
-Cleaned out dust
-Flashed updated bios
-Tried backup bios
-Factory reset bios
-Removed video card and use onboard video
-Try memory on different channels and try just one stick at a time
-Try different power strip and wall plug
-Try loading Debian from bootable USB
-Try loading Ubuntu from bootable USB
-Removed mouse and keyboard one at a time.
-Checked voltages and temps in BIOS, which I can still get into, is fine

The only thing that will boot is my Ultimate Boot Disk, Hiyrem's Boot Disk, and the text only portion of my Debian/Clonezilla USB. I ran some CPU and RAM stress tests and they were fine, although I really didn't run them that long.

My bsod minidump always shows in each entry:

"Bug Check Code : 0x00000124"
"Crash Address : ntoskrnl.exe+4ace0c"

The research I've done online seems to point towards some hardware failure. Pretty sure its the mobo although I suppose there is a slim chance its the PSU or CPU but I kinda doubt it. I know I'm an idiot for using a cheap ass power strip and gaming during a thunderstorm. I'm getting a decent UPS this time and will unplug everything during the next thunderstorm.

EDIT: Apparently the PCH is the southbridge. I messed around with the voltage settings but that didn't help. Looking like it's time for a new mobo. Pretty sure this is the answer but thought I'd check with you guys before I pull the trigger on a new mobo. :) Thanks!

Well now I'm completely demoralized. I installed the new motherboard today. EXACTLY the same problem with the same LED debug code. Soooo that means it's either the PSU or CPU. It's got to be the CPU as my voltages seem fine. Maybe my renters insurance will cover this, fml.
