So as the title says, should I buy Intel now or wait for AMD's Zen?
With all the news surrounding Zen lately, it seems like it could be a good chip, but at the same time it may be a big letdown and not live up to its name. And will Zen actually perform as well as Intel?
I'm in the middle of rebuilding my pc and I need a motherboard and cpu upgrade anyway.
My current specs are
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.5GHz
Cooler: Full Custom Water Loop
Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5
RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury @ 1866MHz
GPU: CrossFire R9 Fury X 4GB (running 1 card now, second will arrive in a fay or two)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB, Intel S3700 400GB
PSU: XIGMATEK Centauro 1000w
I'm thinking of replacing the CPU with an i7 6800k and the motherboard with an MSI MPOWER X99S. And obviously I'll need some DDR4 ram
Should I go for the replacement now and get Intel? or wait for Zen?
