Hello everyone
[Edited]
I am attempting to repair an old Alienware Aurora series desktop. From what I can tell, the graphics card was supposed to be a GeForce 8600 GTS but it turns out it is actually a GeForce GTX 460... I believe that was a modification later added in because I believe the GTX 460 was made after the computer was purchased, also because it didn't appear on the spec list I got my info from. This is why this thread requires edits
I should mention that the monitor I tested it on fits with another GTX series card and works fine. The computer's owner isn't too keen on letting me attempt to use my card to see if it is truly dead or not.
Before I attempt to remove it, are all my connections inside and secure?
*Sorry for the bad quality, my camera doesn't do well without being in daylight
Here's the card, fan side down the way it is currently installed ;

These here are two of the sets of wires I was talking about. They appear to feed into the circuit board thingy on top

The third is down here, my initial guess is that it's for fan power. The fan works fine, by the way.

I have a bunch of disconnected wires, too. I initially thought they were for fans, but they appear to be for something else entirely, as every fan in the system functions. I cannot see anywhere on the card where these may plug in, that said I cannot inspect the card because I cannot remove it.

My attempt at removal failed... I need help.
I did try to remove the card. I undid the screws near the back where the outputs are, but the card is still stuck to the motherboard by something I cannot see and I can't get it out. I need help because I looked it up and all sorts of other systems have a simple slider to get the card out but this doesn't appear to have anything.
If more pictures are required for the mounting, I will do my best to get more tomorrow but I can't really get back down to the basement where it is and snap more photos without waking everyone up in the process.
Thanks for any help
