Planning on upgrading my $500 system fully bit by bit. Was looking at a few parts but I really don't want to buy them only to find it's crappy.

I plan on upgrading in this order:

  • Motherboard (Only supports one video card, Only two slots for ram, I'd prefer four)
Ram (4GB obvious isn't doing the job)
Video Card (The GTX 750Ti is amazing! But I'd like a bit more power)
Case (The one I have now is too simple for me. I plan on getting a windowed case to install LED lights)
Possible CPU upgrade. As it is, my Intel G3258 seems to be doing the job. I feel as if a ram upgrade would sort out the slowness.

What would you recommend for parts upgrades?

Current PC specs:

  • CPU: Intel G3258 Anniversary Edition
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 750ti 2GB (EVGA)
    Ram: 4GB(1x) DDR3 @ 666MHz Kingston
    Mobo: MSI H81M-P33
    Case: Antec VSK3000E

Thanks sounds like a plan! I can just almost run GTA V on ultra so I'm hoping that more ram and OC will do just that for me.

(srsly, 666 Mhz?)
NCIX Didn't have the original ram I purchased in stock and I would of been waiting a month (where as all my other computer parts arrived) so the only ram I was able to purchase quick on my island was the Kingston. No one else had DDR3 ram, besides 1GB sticks haha.

I literally have no idea when it comes to water cooling. I figured it would all just come in some type of kit... Nope lol. If you have the time would you be able to direct me into the right parts I should get? the G3258 OC to 4.8 comes around 119w I guess? Source
