Hi everyone
I was having some issues with my old sound card. An Asus xonar dgx 5.1. Ever since Windows 10, audio sounds very weird and distorted using headphones even after updating drivers. I therefore decided to replace it with a creative sound blaster z and just wanted to know if I could put this sound card in the same slot on my motherboard as the old one or would it need to go some where else. I've installed a graphics card before and that once a simple case of switching the 2 and making sure the pins were connected up
Will that be the same case with the sound card ??
Thanks for any help you can give

Any available PCIe slot will be fine. You may want to uninstall any drivers ahead of time.

If you are having issues with the drivers on your ASUS, you should try these out: http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/

Much better than the ASUS drivers.
