So when I was building my PC, I accidentally put the CPU stock fan upside down (Silly me) and recently I made it right side up and I've noticed it's REALLY quiet now. I'm not sure if it was because I blew a lot of the dust out, or what but. Any explanations as to why it got quieter? Not really a problem, but I'm amazed!

What do you mean by "upside down", if it were truly upside down you would have had major heat issues. Maybe show us a picture?

I meant turned so the Intel logo was upside down, my bad!

It doesn't matter which way the stock fan is oriented. Your turning it had nothing to do with it getting quieter.

It was because you blew the dust out of it. The direction of the logo did not matter at all

Yep, the stock cooler is perfectly symmetrical, it doesn't matter
