Hyper threading disabled

Good day, on my i7 6820HK I disable HT for gaming purposes. Problem is when I shut my PC down it takes two presses of my power button to get my computer to boot up. When I enable HT I don't have this problem. Any ideas what may be going on there?

Well I'm into Prepar 3D which is flight simulation from Lockheed Martin. It's a 32 bit program and when the game goes over 4GB I get an OOM. So they say to disable HT which saves on VAS. But now maybe I don't need to disable it in not sure I'm getting mixed answers
