Hey,
So I built a rig a while back, and now I want to upgrade it some. I am planning to get a EVGA GTX 970. Will my current 450 watt power supply work for it? My current specs are:

Mobo: BioStar b85S3+
CPU: Intel core 13 4130
GPU: GTX 650 Ti (aiming to replace w/ the 970)
Psu: Antec VP450 450W (do I need an upgrade?)
Ram: Ballistix Crucial 8 GB (one stick)
HDD: (2x) Western digital 1 TB
I'm using a LG dvd rom optical drive
Using a USB hub, standard Keyboard and mouse
DISPLAY: I'm using 3 different Monitors at the moment, but they run on their own power.
No other fans besides the one in the case and each part's on board (i.e. heatsink, Gpu that has fans, etc.)
No SSD

So, should I upgrade my power supply, or will 450 watts be sufficient for adding the 970?

Thanks for putting up with my noob-ness :)

Sincerely, MaliciousBanana

The VP 450 is a decent but not great PSU.

The answer above is incorrect, the GTX 970 will work on your PSU, it may even work reliably. However if you find yourself running into stability issues or crashes you will want to switch it out with a quality unit over 500w such as a Seasonic S12II 520, XFX TS 550, or EVGA 550 G2.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I may just go ahead and upgrade my psu. Aside from upgrading the GPU I am planning to also install some more RAM, maybe some fans, and possibly upgrade my processor. What wattage do you recommend for that?
