Has anyone used Corsair PSU warranty before?

I bought a Corsair HX650w late 2012 for my current system, and recently after leaving it on sleep for the day ran into an issue where it began resuming but simply ran the fans up and down before shutting off. After which the computer gave no response unless it was left to sit a short while unplugged for which it gave only enough time to spin the fans.

This was then tested on another motherboard giving the same symptoms, and a test boot was given to the PC in question with an old PSU I don't trust enough for daily use, resulting in a boot(Had to test away from a screen so I am not sure if it booted properly or not, but it looked like it)

I assume that this is a definite diagnosis of a failed PSU, But was wondering if anyone had any tips for going through a warranty claim with a almost 4 year old PSU.

I believe HX PSUs have a 5 year warranty if I'm not mistaken, so you should be good to go on that part. I have used Corsair warranty before and they're not that bad. I had my HX1000i fail on me after less than 6 months once, so I sent it back, they told me they didn't have another HX1000i in stock so they upgraded me to the HX1200i which was pretty cool.

If you submit your case/claim and explain to them your situation I'm pretty sure they will replace it without a problem.

Good luck! :)
