3930k vs 6700k for streaming

I currently have the I7-3930K but I feel a little bogged down while I'm streaming its not much but its noticeable. Would the 6700K be a big improvement? Everything is stock I dont have anything overclocked. I have the GTX 980 as well.

The difference between i7 3930k and i7 6700k does not worth the price you have to pay, unless you are feaking rich.
Just keep in mind, i7 6700k does already noticeable faster than i7 3930k. This is already a sign for you that you would probably have to upgrade your i7 3930k within the next 1-2 generation after Skylake. But for now, just OC it.

Beside OC,
For streaming games, removing other bottlenecks is also important...so....make sure, you have at least 16GB RAM and an SSD. Plan to get them, if you do not have them yet.

Go for the 6700k, ive been reading reviews about it, watching videos when rendering and streaming and it performs pretty good. Ive decided to go for this cpu for my system as well. Also, what are your system specs?

In that case, he should go for the upgrade, if he has enough money and wants to fork out for that extra power the skylake processor will bring to his streams. In my opinion, if you have the cash, go for it. You wont regret it.

I don't think he will really see a benefit from changing from a i7 hexacore that can be overclocked.
I think the six cores will help better in streaming.

Clock for clock, there is very minor performance difference between i7-2600K and i7-6700K.
Moreover, the i7-4770K will perform better in many cases than i7-6700K when they are clocked the same.
