Hey guys,

I recently bought a gtx 960 graphics card. But after I install it, the monitor wont turn on. The PC is running fine only the monitor is at fault. But if I switch back to the integrated memory the monitor works fine. Even if I just insert the card but plug the monitor cable to the integrated memory the monitor still wont start up. I formatted my PC and installed windows again but still the problem continues.

I have :-
Core 2 Duo E7500
6 GB Ram
Foxconn N15235 Mother Board
CoolGuy C500 500W PSU
And my case is too small for the graphics card. So I took out the powers supply and inserted the card. Still I'm not sure the card is properly fixed.

So I need to know do I only have to replace the case or do I need to replace more like psu, mobo, cpu, etc... Or is it a fault in the GPU. But I have tested it before in a friends PC and it worked fine.

Plz. Help me to fix this.

Thanx in advance...

Solution
Check your monitor manual to see how to reset your monitor to the factory defaults setting.
If it does not work, the monitor may have problem.
Using your onboard iGPU to check your MB to see which version BIOS is on it, also the date too. Ans posted them. Maybe the BISO is too old. How to http://www.howtogeek.com/196916/how-to-check-your-bios-version-and-update-it/

Also check your PSU specification too, you want the PSU has 20Amp on the +12V rail at least, if it doesn't have any label like that, then forget about it. You need the new PSU.

If like you said the case is too small for the GPU, yes, you need the new case.

I got a new case and bought a psu that has 28Amp on the +12 rail. But still no luck.

I didnt not plug in to both 6 pin ports cze my psu only has one. And I still didn't update the bios cze it is really confusing.

I'll try both and post the result.

You have to use both 6-pin pcie power cables, otherwise the GPU will not get enough power. And buy the PSU has two 8-pin ( 6+2 pin) pcie power cable. If the PSU does not have two that means the wattage or Amp on +12V label is not correct, and forget about it.
