asus p8z68 deluxe/gen 3, intell 2600k
i have had this system for around 5 years and has been wonderful, Ive recently built a new skylark build and wanted to use my old hardware in a media center build. got it all put together and the system is restarts several times before it just stays at code 59. all of this before you get a post. code 59 is cpu micro-code is not found or micro-code update is failed. i can however clear cmos go into bios and click on my windows boot drive the sys then boots into windows. Atleast until you need to restart or power down and turn it back on. I have tried a new cmos battery, different ram, different power supply and different video card, checked the cpu socket reapplied thermopaste, and of course bios are on defaults. Im suspecting a hardware issue with the board but thought i would see if anyone else might have a solution. i dont have a extra motherboard to test. any help would be most helpful and appreciated.
