i have a desktop with intel quad core w/ windows Vista that i only use to edit some videos, i haven't used it in months, i powered it up last night and worked fine. i installed a roxio creator software to edit some movies. it installed ok and restarted. but as soon as i shut down the computer i couldnt not get a image on the monitor when restarting. the monitor LED just keeps flashing. i have tried to re-seat the card, checked cables, restarted over 20 times, and nothing, i cant even see the enter bios option.

I tried to google answers, but most people say that the video card is dead. but its just odd it stopped working after software install. If i unplug the monitor cable from the card the monitor goes to a color test screen.

Solution
There is no way that just installing Roxio would do anything to the card, it likely just died at the same time. If it crashed in Windows, maybe there is a teeny tiny chance something happened in software, if you don't get any image at all when turning it on, that can't be software. Test the card in another system, will let you know if it's good or not. May also be your power supply or motherboard.
