Hi so I ran in to a problem with my old mobo, was wondering which motherboard would be best for LGA 1155, I'm going to be using an i7-3770k CPU. I was mostly looking at the Z77 extreme4 but couldn't really find where I could buy it too. I live in canada so any motherboard suggestions that are available here would be nice.

Honestly there is no way id pay $240 for a 4+ year old "new" board. Buy something used, hell if the first two don't work you could still buy a 3rd one for less than one "new" (but really old) one. That extreme 4 was like a $90-$110 board new, dont pay 2x that now. None of the rest of them will allow you to oc so no way id do that either.

I found a Z77 extreme4 on amazon, it does ship to my address but the price is $246 CAD (~$188 USD). Do you guys think this is a good deal? Or would it be better to just upgrade my CPU and motherboard?

If you do want to upgrade you can get a i5 4460 and a H97 motherboard although you cant overclock unless you opt for a K version and switch to a Z97 motherboard. But I dont think that is a good deal especially for a Z77 motherboard. I Could buy a high end Z170 motherboard with that money

I wouldn't want to overclock but is that motherboard considered reliable? Also if i wanted to spend a bit more on the motherboard could you recommend a better one, like at most $80 for the motherboard? Or is that motherboard good enough?

A lot of the motherboards that are compatible with my i7-3770k seem to be very close to the price range of the new processor and motherboard provided by LegitKillz99. I wouldn't mind just upgrading to a new processor and motherboard if I really do need to. Just wondering now if the processor I have now out performs the I5-4460

If you overclock yes itll outperform the i5 4460 but you wont notice the fps difference when gaming. However Haswell is newer and updated with more features. Here is good $80 motherboard https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/9LvRsY/asrock-motherboard-h97pro4

I have the ASRock Z75 Pro3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard it cost me around $80.00 USD last August. It works well and my computer is stable at 4.5GHz overclock, it supports your CPU. See if you can find it for cheap money...

I paired it with an i5-2500k.

From the ebay link that you sent, which motherboard would you go with that seems in good enough condition to just install and run right away without needing anything else? Also would the Z77 extreme4 for ~$240 CAD not be worth buying? Its sealed and brand new.

Also from this link, https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=lga+1155&rh=n%3A667823011%2Ck%3Alga+1155 . Which motherboard would you go with?

To the link that you sent later that doesn't ship from china/hong kong, that one was sold by the time I had a chance to look at it. Tough luck I guess.

If I don't plan on overclocking my cpu (which I don't) do you think there is a motherboard that fits my needs from the ones shown, either in the amazon link I sent or the ebay link you sent?
