Ports Not Opening

I am trying to open up ports for my ark server. When I try to check if port 27015 is open canyouseeme.org says it is closed. I can open port 80 fine but not 27015 and others.

There is a high probability that the PC is not allowing those ports through. You might consider temporarily disabling the firewall altogether and testing your server.

Since you can successfully forward port 80, it's not likely a problem with your router.

ISPs are more prone to blocking a web server port (i.e. 80) than a game server port, but you may want to check with your ISP to find if somehow those ports are being blocked.

Not sure what else to recommend, other than trying to use the server on a different PC.

Online port checking tools (like canyouseeme.org) listen for a response from the application using that port on your network.

Is the ARK server running when you use the online port checker?

Need more details about your network, like make and model of modem and router. Make sure the WAN side of your router has a public IP address. Set a static IP address for your server.

Any other details about your network configuration and settings will be helpful.

I have a static ip on my server. My router is the linksys wrt54gl.I have a public ip on my router. I have turned off the firewall on my router. My modem is a motorola SB5120. My ISP is comcast.

It's strange that you can open port 80 but not any other port. Is port 80 forwarded to the same PC when you test it? Have you allowed those ports through the PC's firewall?
