High idle loads and temps

So recently ive noticed that my gpus have been at a really high idle load and temps for some reason. I recently upgraded to a 1440p monitor but I dont think idling would cause my gpu to run at 55-62c. The weird part is at first I was only using a 670 as my main gpu with a 640 running my 3 other monitors, that ran at around 55 or so at 70% load (during idling or web browsing email, facebook etc) and even after installing my new evga gtx 1080 ftw it still is running at 70-80% load at 63c. I have no idea what is causing this. Is it the new drivers?

Specs:

cpu: i7 6700k (4.7ghz)
RAM: 32gb ddr4 3000mhz corsair
Enthoo pro M with full fans.
windows 7 pro 64bit

The fans are on though. And why does it have so much load when I have 3 tabs of chrome open with few other programs inthe back ground?

Are you still using the GTX 640? If so, try connecting all three monitors to the GTX 1080 and report back.

Those are not idle clocks.

Go into the nVIDIA control panel, click on Manage 3D settings and tell me what the setting is for the "Power management mode".

You may have to download nVIDIA Inspector to enable the Multi Display Power Saver to force the GPU to idle while not playing a game.

Says "optimal power" and under multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration is says "Multiple display performance mode"

The last thing I can think to try is nVIDIA Inspector.

I'm not sure why you are experiencing a such high amount of load while browsing the Internet. But, 60 degrees C for 70% load is fine, that's a normal and good temperature.
