Problem with mouse sensitivity

Hey everyone.

I recently purchased a used Razer Naga Hex off ebay for around $20. I got it today and hooked it up, and while everything works fine, I have a slight issue. The sensor (or whatever the technical term is) is too sensitive. No, it's not that my DPI is too high. The sensor on the bottom is too sensitive. Even with low DPI, if I even left click my cursor moves too much due to the small amount of movement in my hand. I know it is not just the mouse on its own, as taking my hand off the mouse does not result in movement of the cursor. Is it just that I'm not used to sensitive mice, or is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the sensor? Or perhaps I have a faulty used mouse, or even the mousepad I have it on it too soft a surface.
