Everything on the desktop looks huge in 1440p

So i have a 1600x900 ASUS Monitor but i use custom resolutions because 900p sucks balls. I have a GTX 1080 and i decided to get a 1440p custom resolution, but when i applied it, everything in the desktop looked huge, like it was 900p, can someone please help me?

Are there different screen sizes you can choose from on the monitor itself? Try checking that.

No there doesn't seem to be any screen size settings with the monitor itself, but i can change the res to 1440p in windows resolution settings, but the problem still persists, the desktop looks huge, everything looks huge in 1440p, but when i go in game everything is tiny, which is what i want with the dekstop; everything to look tiny like in 1440p.

EDIT : The monitor i'm using is an ASUS G206HQL 20inch LED Monitor.

Ok, problem has been fixed. Turns out; Windows 10 automaticlly adjusts the scaling size when using 1440p to 125, i changed it to 100 and it's all good now.
