Do you experience this problem on all devices, or just one?

It may be a problem with the DNS. Have you tried changing the DNS for the computer?

Try using the Google DNS.

I switched to that DNS but it just happened again, and I had to ipconfig /renew.

If the problem affects all computers at the same time, you may need to have your modem/router checked or replaced, or have your ISP investigate the issue,

If it's just one PC, you might need to provide a bit more information. You mentioned that "Prior files downloads still continue". Does this happen at times when you're downloading or using a lot of bandwidth, or seemingly at any time? Have you tried switching to the 2.4 GHz band on your PC's adapter?

Same issue, though I'm not certain if it's just limited to HTTP.
Im so used to typing ipconfig /renew to fix it, but I want to stop the cause.

Another symptom: sometimes the browser gives a better error saying the DNS servers could not be reached.

It's hard to tell where the problem starts though, so does anyone here know how to start diagnosing this. Event viewer, log files, network monitoring programs, anything?!
