Ever since I changed my power plan to high performance, my computer has crashed about 2-3 times a day when playing games. I even set it back to balanced power usage like it was before and it is still crashing. When it crashes the entire computer shuts off instantly, no blue screen or anything, and then reboots. I opened up the case and cleaned it thoroughly and also unplugged and plugged in all of the cables connecting to the PSU. I also factory reset my computer and it still has no affect. I'm figuring that it is a failing PSU, but I wanted to ask before I bought a new one.

PC Specs:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4690K (6M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10S-8GBXL
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC GAMING ACX 2.0+
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA‑Z97X‑SLI
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 80+ GOLD, 650W

Solution
Although the GTX970 is rated to draw 500W of power from your unit to power the entire system, the SSC will have an overclock and subsequently means that it has a slightly higher power draw. What you've stated can be sighted as an preemptive sign of the PSU failing though just to be sure you need to borrow a unit of similar quality and/or of higher wattage from a friend and see if the system reboots at load.

I'd also suggest contacting EVGA or your seller or both to get this info passed on to them so you can avail an RMA.
