Hi all, I really could use some advice. Long story short this computer belongs to my 16 yo woth autism. The computer froze on him. We could not get it to boot normally after that, I called Lenovo ended up buying recovery discs twice yes twice and they do not work. I can choose language and agree to terms and partially run disc 1 of 5. Then I get a message that says "Error when Recovering. Click yes to retry click no to exit. This happens over and over. Second set of discs do the same thing. Please help. What should I do? If I click no, it cuts on and off saying exiting pxe if I click retry, it is the same cycle.

Since you apparently haven't made backups, you're just going to have to work with the manufacturer, restore to factory settings (per your user guide), or take it to a repair shop.
When you've gotten your system back like you want it, I urge you to get yourself an external hard drive and a good 3rd party backup program. You can set it up to do everything automagically at the time and frequency of your choice. 1 TB external hard drives are about $55 these days and a really good FREE backup program is the Easeus Todo Backup Free. I've seen a lot of folks say they use Macurim Reflect which also has a free version. That can save you a lot of time and frustration the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later it happens to...

Sooner or later it happens to all computers for one reason or another.

Good luck.
