Building a new PC. Please help me with part selection. I followed the template from the sticky.

Approximate Purchase Date: The closer the better.

Budget Range: $1500-$2000, Before Rebates; After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mostly gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: frys.com (I'd prefer to buy retail)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Needs to run max settings and 144hz: CSGO with at least 350fps and Overwatch with at least 150fps.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Better gaming experience (better graphics and fps).

Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts:

I’m considering going with an I-7 6800K processor and GTX 1080 graphics card. Would I get better value going with an SLI setup with two graphics cards?

Thanks for your help!

An I7 6700k and a pair of GTX 1070s will work wonders. Although if you play a lot of indie games get a single 1080 because they usually don't work as well with multiple GPUs. With $2000 you can get a lot out of a system.
