I have got an I7-4790K CPU that I acquired in December and yesterday I installed a corsair Hydro H75 Water cooling system
I am currently looking for help on what settings I should set the fans and pump to for a steady temperature and how much I could overclock with this cooling system and still keep a steady temp, any help is greatly appreciated

I have also got my configuration for the fans so that both are blowing air into the radiator

On its current configuration (a little higher fan speeds than default) its idling at 40-50 degrees (Celsius) and in a CPU intensive game like arma its getting temps of 60 degrees

Solution

Best is to draw ambient air with both fans oriented the same.
When did you last apply new TIM.?

I have both the fans Plugged into the CPU_Fan ports on my mobo which allows them to be controlled as CPU fans in the BIOS but have the pump its self connected to Sys_fan which allows me to control that under sys_fan (currently at 80%)

if its meant to be 10-15 degrees higher than roomtemp thats about right then since most of the time since ive had this cooler its been around 25-30 degrees in england. Yesterday once it cooled down a bit it was idling at like 35 degrees. However right now its 20 degrees and its idling at 50

I should mention I dont have the side of the case on as it doesnt fit anymore due to the radiator being large (sticks out just a bit)

Also should I set one fan to exhaust heat out of the radiator as right now both are pushing air onto it. Im also going to try and up my fan speeds since I wont have AC for a while
